Texas NORML: Midterm Elections and the 86th Texas Legislature

Members of Texas NORML are energized and hopeful for meaningful marijuana law reforms after the 2018 midterm elections where twelve incumbents were replaced with Freshman in the House and two in the Senate. State lawmakers have begun introducing legislation for consideration during the upcoming 2019 Texas legislative session.

Marijuana Legalization and Workplace Safety: A Short-Lived Hysteria

NORML chapters around the country are working to protect honest, hardworking marijuana consumers from discriminatory workplace drug-testing practices, in particular, the use of random suspicionless urine testing. By emphasizing the importance of impairment detection and workplace safety, we can reframe the conversation to focus on creating a 21st century workplace that’s free of impairment while protecting individual rights.
