Pacifist Cannabis minister Reverend Roger Christie has been held without bail at the Honolulu Federal Detention Center since July 8, 2010. He's been denied bail 7 times. His trial on federal drug trafficking charges has been set back to July 23, 2013.

As part of this debate, Representatives Jared Polis (D-CO) and Ron Paul (R-TX) are introducing an amendment to eliminate funding for the Office of National Drug Control Policy, commonly known as the Drug Czar’s office.
